FRIED MOZZARELLA MARINARA RECIPE

FRIED MOZZARELLA INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. Mozzarella Cheese (Whole Milk or Part-Skim)

  • 2 Cups Canola or Vegetable Oil

  • 4-6 Eggs

  • 1 ½ cups Flour

  • 1 ½ cups Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs

  • 1 ½ cups Italian Seasoned Panko

  • 2 oz. Grated Pecorino Romano Cheesse

  • 1 tbsp. Chopped Parsley

  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste

FRIED MOZZARELLA INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Sart by adding oil to a frying pan heat on low to medium heat and temp oil to 325-350 degrees F.

  2. Beat eggs in a bowl and in separate bowls or containers and add flour, bread crumbs, and panko.

  3. Slice Mozzarella block into ½ inch slices.

  4. Place sliced mozzarella in flour and shake well, place in eggwash and completely coat, place in bread crumbs and completely coat place back in the eggwash, completely coat and into panko… again completely coat.

  5. You can bread all at once and fry or you can bread them as you cook them.

  6. Place breaded mozzarella into the hot frying oil and cook 1-2 on each side until golden brown. To ensure the cheese is completely melted, you can place them in the oven for 5-10 at 350 degrees F.

  7. Place leafy greens on a plate and place Marinara Sauce in a small cup/bowl and place in the center of the plate. Place the Fried Mozzarella around the sauce. Top with S&P, chopped parsley, and pecorino romano cheese.

MARINARA SAUCE INGREDIENTS

  • 1 - San Marzano Tomatoes 28oz can

  • 4 Cloves Garlic

  • 2 oz. Chopped Parsley

  • 2 oz. Chopped Basil

  • 3 oz Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Salt and Pepper to taste

MARINARA INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Make the Marinara sauce by adding Extra Virgin Olive Oil and whole Garlic to a pot, and lightly brown garlic, remove and set aside.

  2. Add tomatoes, parsley, basil, chopped roasted garlic, salt, and pepper to the pot. Blend with a hand mixer if needed.

  3. Cook for 20-30 minutes on low heat.😊
